Juniors

Lincoln City Netball Club offers a structured and supportive junior programme designed to meet the needs of players at different stages of their netball journey. Our junior section is split into Performance and Development pathways, ensuring players are placed in environments that best support their individual needs and ambitions.

Both the Performance and Development junior squads train on Thursday evenings at The Priory Witham.

Performance Section

The Performance pathway is designed for players competing at a higher level who are seeking a challenging, performance-focused training environment. Sessions are planned to develop the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of performance. Training focuses on skill execution, decision-making, game understanding, physical preparation, and mental skills such as confidence, resilience, and focus. Performance teams play matches on Saturdays at The Priory Witham Academy and compete in the East Midlands Junior Leagues, providing regular exposure to high-level competitive netball.

Development Section

The Development pathway provides a positive and engaging environment for players who are newer to netball or continuing to build confidence and consistency. Sessions focus on developing strong technical foundations, movement skills, teamwork, and game understanding, while encouraging enjoyment and long-term participation. Development teams also play matches on Saturdays at The Priory Witham Academy, allowing players to apply their learning in a competitive but supportive match environment.

U11 Section

Our U11 section trains on Thursday evenings indoors at The Priory Witham and provides a structured introduction to club netball. Sessions are led by three Level 2 coaches, supported by Level 1 coaches and developing coaches at the beginning of their coaching journey. Training focuses on fundamental skills, coordination, movement, and enjoyment of the game, while preparing players for future progression within the club’s junior pathways.

Across all junior age groups, players are supported by qualified and experienced coaches within a positive, inclusive, and well-structured club environment. Lincoln City Netball Club aims to provide clear development opportunities for all junior players, whether their ambition is to progress within performance pathways or to enjoy netball while developing their skills and confidence.
