We travelled down
to Somerset on a beautiful sunny Friday. No hold ups on the road and
we were there in good time.
The U13s
went to the fair whilst the U11s and U12s went to the beach for a
paddle (a somewhat deep paddle for some of the girls).
Saturday
morning arrives and only the U11s and U13s are playing this morning
in the pouring rain. U12s hoped for better weather int he afternoon
(some hope).
The heavens opened several times and during one torrential downpour
play was uspended for one hour. This was just enough time to dry out
a little before chancing the elements again. Staff from Pontins
worked hard to turn the courts from padi fields to something that
resembled netball courts.
Despite the
weather we were victorious in all our matches and came top of our
group with 35 points. Winning all of our 7 games.
Sunday the weather was much improved sunshine with a couple of
showers. Four matches to play against stiffer opposition.
The girls
played their hearts out winning one, drawing one and losing two.
